Cofounded by Talia Eisenberg: Remind’s Virtual Reality Meditation in a corporate setting whether in London, NYC or Omaha

ReMind & HTC Vive partner to launch a virtual reality meditation program for corporate settings.

Workplace performance and productivity improvements are the goals of every CEO. Meet ReMind’s gym for the mind currently running beta tests in offices in SF and NYC. ReMind offers a virtual reality platform designed to increase focus and decrease stress during the workday. HTC and ReMind are launching 20-minute midday recharges using HTC Vive’s state of the art 3D immersive VR toolset and content suite. Practitioners may choose from a selection of unique mindfulness worlds with guided actions and instructive meditation voiceovers to reboot the mind.

HTC Vive is a virtual reality headset developed by HTC released in April 2016 to award-winning reviews. Their headset is designed to utilize “room scale” technology to turn a room into 3D space via sensors. Virtual worlds allow the user to navigate naturally and the ability to walk around and use motion tracked handheld controllers to vividly manipulate objects, interact with precision, communicate and experience immersive environments. According to International Data Corporation (IDC), thirteen million VR and AR headset devices shipped by the end of 2017, and that number is forecasted to increase to 81 million by 2021, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 56.1%.

ReMind is developing the meditation content, programs and assessment methods that enable employees to minimize the environmental and mental barriers that contribute to the inability to readily access and regularly practice mindfulness techniques that will support them in overcoming situations at work that are causing them to feel defeated, unable to gain focus, manage an overwhelming volume of stimulation and interpersonal dynamics that prevent higher levels of performance at any given job function.

ReMind is exploring the ways that the benefits of virtual reality technology can help attract new meditation practitioners, enable them to engage in a meditation practice that is practical and immersive without distraction, eliminate the dependency for an onsite live teacher, and allow them to regularly practice and track their progress toward a known and achievable set of outcomes.

The market for improving wellbeing and mental health through the use of VR has been well established based on decades of scientific research. According to just one research review in the May/June 2017 issue of the Harvard Review of Psychiatry, a growing body of evidence suggests that VR technology can aid in alleviating anxiety, stress and other mental health imbalances.
